Although I haven't posted recently, it is because I haven't had any seizures in over a year! I am so grateful for that!

I did have a recent contact from a new website called Fit2beParents. This website focuses on new parents who suffer from epilepsy. It provides information on how to get through the pregnancy and how to make it through the difficulties of raising a baby while at the same time making sure you are successfully dealing with the difficulties of taking care of oneself or one's spouse. It is very unique in that it gives advice for mothers and fathers. The site is run by two people that have epilepsy and are giving their first-hand advice. I highly recomend it:

I've had epilepsy since I was 17. My first one was on 01/01/01. I'm 27 now, and a single mother or a 16 month old boy. It had been 5 years since my last seizure, which was on 12/24/05, so I had thought and hoped I'd grown out of them. I did a lot of research on the adolescent epilepsy that you can grow out of and that you can not grow out of. I hoped I'd grown out of it, so I eased off my meds and went three weeks without one. Then, I had one, out of the blue, this last Friday. It feels like I'm still coming out of it. And for all of you who have had a gran-mal seizure, you know what it's like to begin to come to and start to realize what happened and focus on the world, the sights, the smells, sounds, and that fuzzy feeling in your head. It's been almost a week and I still feel that I'm there. I will admit that I want to sleep more and this whole time, it's all I've wanted to do, but you simply can't do that with a baby. Fortunately, the day it happened, he was visiting his grandmother. I just want to know, if anyone has any insight on why I'm still feeling that way. AND ~ yes, I am back on my meds.

Thank you SO MUCH for this link! My husband and I are starting a family, and I have temporal lobe epilepsy (3 different AEDs, VNS...usually around 7 seizures a month.) It's nice to see that there is support out there for those of us with "electric" personalities!!!

I was diagnosed of grand seizures disorder when I was 15, it was so frequent that I had more than 20 seizures in a month. Growing up knowing I was epileptic was a difficult thing for me and my family. My social life was censored by the sickness. I took various prescribed English medicines for close to 10 years, which caused a lot of complications for me without improvement. To survive my frequent seizures, I got a Vagus Nerve Stimulator (VNS) to help, yet there was no noticeable difference. I resolved to help myself, as such I went for a search of Herbal cure. I have read stories on the internet of people who got cured from seizures and epilepsy. So I went in search for such solution. I got an email address from one of the testimonies shared about herbal medicine for seizures and epilepsy cure, I contacted the doctor and used his medicine. For more than 4 years, I have been totally seizure free. I got rid of the VNS which had been more than a burden. You may contact the doctor via
